Below, you will find frequently asked questions. If you have questions and don’t find the answers below, do not hesitate to contact me. It would be an honor to have YOU on my tour, and if you need any kind of personalization, I am very open to it.
I take you precisely where you need to be to study the history that occurred. I will show you spots you don´t have a chance to visit alone. You don’t have deal with renting a car or making hotel reservations. Finding the actual battlefields, landmarks and other important sites can be more difficult than you would expect. With me as your full-time historian on the tour, I enhance your experience by providing valuable insights and context.
There are no difficult climbs nor excessively long walks on my tours. Therefore, ensure that you wear proper shoes (as many Prague/European streets are cobblestoned). In certain areas of older cities we cannot always park the motorcoach/car immediately next to the historic attraction, so some walking is required. For most tours, we can arrange for a fold up wheelchair to be on the bus/car as an option if needed.
Yes, all departure dates are guaranteed. There is no minimum number of Passengers needed for a tour to take place.
I have travelers of all ages, ranging from students to seniors.
A modern, comfortable motorcoach. If we are a small group, then modern, comfortable minibus, and if there are less than 3 participants, we use my comfortable car Skoda Fabia.
If a few guests are willing to pay the airlines for additional luggage, I can accommodate it on the bus. However, it’s always easier if the luggage is smaller, so please bring additional luggage only if it’s really necessary.
Yes, I often have travelers who do not share the passion for history of their traveling companion, but we always find that after a day or two into the tour that they are enjoying it much more than they expected. I balance tours carefully to appeal to both history buffs and those just looking to take an interesting, rewarding vacation. On the tour, you will get background informatio, as well as present-day information about the culture, local food, towns and countryside destinations we visit. Maps, movies, and presentations give a fuller picture of the events. Moreover, our tours present a variety of historical landmarks beyond tanks, guns and battlefields.
Tips for your onboard staff (Tour Director) are not included in the tour price, but are a voluntary way of showing satisfaction for good service at the end of the trip. Tipping of bus driver, waiters at dinners and the hotel staff in general is taken care of by us.
I would love to help you surprise someone and we will remain discreet throughout the booking and payment process if you let us in on the fun. I will also send a gift certificate for the person receiving the gift.
The deposit is refundable up to 90 days prior to the tour, minus a $50 admin fee and any credit card processing fees.
Yes. I´t required to let me know your dietary restrictions are ahead of time.
Absolutely. You will want to take your medication with you. You do not want to depend on being able to get your prescription filled while you are overseas, as American prescriptions will not be accepted. Many drugs that are sold over the counter in the U.S. require a prescription overseas. Also, many drugs have different names and/or ingredients than in the U.S., so if you have a painkiller or a motion sickness pill that you know works for you, we advise bringing it with you. We recommend you check with your doctor the rules of bringing your medication to the destination country and the necessary documentation you might need to take them on board of your flight.
The authorities of the countries we visit on our tours do not require Passengers to be vaccinated. Proof of vaccination is not required upon arrival.
If you bring your cell phone with you, be sure to check with your carrier regarding international calling plans to make sure you are not left without service during the trip.
For information about U.S. passports and visas go to: http://travel.state.gov/
You will need a valid passport on our tours. A driver’s license issued by your state or a passport card cannot be used for overseas travel. Per international travel regulations, your passport must be valid for at least six (6) months after the date of your return home from your tour. If your passport expires within six (6) months, it must be renewed prior to your departure.

There are no difficult climbs or excessively long walks on my tours. Therefore, ensure that you wear proper shoes (as many Prague streets are cobblestoned) and are physically able to maintain 2-3 hours of light walking.
If you have mobility issues, there is always the option to personalize the tour, especially as a private tour, so you wouldn’t have to stress about being slow. I can arrange for a fold-up wheelchair to be on the minibus/car as an option if needed. For tours only in Prague, a wheelchair is not a problem.
Yes, all departure dates are guaranteed. There is no minimum number of Passengers needed for a walking tour in Prague, anyway for one day trips (Terezin/Pilsen/Karlstejn) I prefer minimum two (2) travelers so I could at least cover cost of fuel.

My tours are private/semiprivate. I do not allow usually more than 7 people on a tour. Sometimes can happen that you will be the only one on your tour. If you want to have guarantee that your tour will be private, up to 4 people will be charged 25 % more, groups of 5 and more people can request private tour for free!
Certainly, I can accommodate you, and in this case, I will provide you with a 100% private tour! Please contact me in advance so we can discuss the details. Groups or schools with over 10 people can also inquire about a group discount. I will do my best to accommodate you and ensure you have a pleasant experience as my guests!
For up to three (3) passengers I use my personal, modern, very comfortable Skoda Fabia car, for groups between four and seven (4-7) I use comfortable minivan Mercedes-Benz.
Walking tours in Prague have a designated meeting point. For day trips outside of Prague (where I will be driving), we will determine the best meeting point for your convenience. Due to the high traffic in Prague city center, I do not prefer pick-ups in Old Town. I will assist you in finding the closest and easiest meeting point to avoid traffic delays. I want to ensure a seamless experience for you, avoiding the frustration of being stuck in traffic.
You have the option to use Uber or Bolt to reach the meeting point, or simply walk. However, the most convenient way to navigate Prague is by using public transport. It’s so easy to use, and you can get directions through Google/Apple Maps or a specialized app like “PID Litacka.” Individuals between 60-64 years old pay half price for public transport tickets, while children up to age 15 and individuals over 65 travel within Prague for free!
I will try to be as flexible as possible, and if I have availability, I will attempt to reschedule you for free. While I can’t guarantee it, I will do my best to accommodate your needs.
