Walking Tours in Prague

Most tours start in Prague. I also offer a Karlovy Vary walking tour and a Karlovy Vary & Loket tour starting directly in Karlovy Vary. Please check the starting location for your selected option. Day trips from Prague return to Prague the same day.

Walking tours generally involve around 2–3 hours of walking, including cobblestone streets. Wear comfortable shoes.

If you have mobility concerns or use a wheelchair, please contact me before booking. We can discuss a private tour, a suitable route and a comfortable pace. Please also ask in advance if you need help arranging a fold-up wheelchair for a day trip, so I can confirm availability, vehicle space and access at the sites you would like to visit.

Regular tours may be shared with other guests. If you would like a private tour, please contact me for an individual quote based on the number of participants.

Yes. Let me know your interests, available time and any mobility requirements. I can discuss a suitable itinerary with you. Explore custom tours or contact me.

Regular walking tours in Prague require at least two participants in total. You do not need to book together: solo travelers are welcome to join the same departure, provided at least two people sign up. If you are traveling alone, please contact me to check whether other guests are joining.

I connect the places we visit with the people and events that shaped them. My historical research helps you understand the context, discover less obvious landmarks and hear stories you might miss when exploring on your own. You are welcome to ask questions throughout the tour.

I welcome guests of all ages, from students to seniors. Please let me know about any interests or mobility needs when booking so we can discuss a suitable pace and itinerary.

Yes. I balance historical stories with the places, architecture and everyday culture around us. You do not need specialist knowledge to enjoy the tour. Tell me what interests your group, and I will do my best to make the experience engaging for everyone.

Yes. If you are traveling with eight or more people, or organizing a school visit, please contact me in advance to discuss a private tour. Pricing is quoted individually according to the number of participants and the itinerary. Groups of more than ten people and schools are welcome to ask about a group discount.

Day Trips from Prague

Walking tours in Prague have a designated meeting point. For day trips, we agree on a convenient meeting point before your tour.

I do not normally offer hotel pickups in Prague’s Old Town because heavy traffic and restricted vehicle access can cause considerable delays. I want you to spend your time discovering historic sights, hearing their stories and enjoying the experience. Choosing an easily accessible meeting point helps us make the most of our time together and avoid spending it sitting in a traffic jam.

I will help you find a convenient meeting point and explain how to get there from your accommodation. You can walk, take Uber or Bolt, or use Prague’s excellent public transport. Google Maps, Apple Maps and the PID Lítačka app make planning your journey straightforward.

Within Prague, passengers aged 65 and over travel free on the metro, trams and regular city buses. Passengers aged 60–64 are eligible for half-price short-term fares. Please carry a valid passport or EU national identity card to prove your age. Different conditions apply to travel outside Prague and special services.

For up to four passengers, I use my Škoda Fabia car. For groups of five to eight, I use a Mercedes-Benz minivan. If you are traveling with a larger group, please contact me to discuss transport.

Inclusions depend on the tour and option you choose. Please check the individual tour page for details. If anything is unclear, ask me before booking so we can confirm which tickets and other costs are included.

If your day trip includes a lunch stop, please tell me about any dietary requirements or food allergies in advance. I will do my best to suggest a suitable place to eat and discuss the options with you. Meals are included only where expressly stated on the individual tour page.

Booking & Payment

Choose your tour, open its booking form and enter your preferred date, group size and contact details. For walking tours, usual start times are 10:00 AM, 2:00 PM or 4:30 PM; other times can be discussed. For a custom itinerary or larger group, contact me directly.

You can pay before the tour or after it finishes. Payment options are cash in CZK, EUR or USD, bank transfer, Revolut, or credit/debit card. Card payments carry the 3% bank fee shown on the booking form.

You can cancel your tour free of charge up to 36 hours before the scheduled start time. Any payment already made will be refunded in full.

If you need to cancel at the last minute, please contact me as soon as possible. I understand that unexpected situations happen and will consider them individually. My approach is based on mutual trust and consideration: a late cancellation may mean that I have turned away other guests or already incurred costs.

If you would like to reschedule, I will do my best to find another date, subject to availability.

Yes. I would be happy to help you surprise someone with a tour and provide a gift certificate. Please contact me to arrange the details. If it is a surprise, let me know and I will keep our booking and payment arrangements discreet.

Tips are not included in the tour price and are entirely voluntary. If you enjoyed the experience, a tip is a welcome way to show your appreciation, but there is no obligation.
