Jiri is a fantastic guide. He has a wealth of knowledge (doing his PhD in WW2 with emphasis on Czech experience) and gives that information to us in a very easy to understand way. He shares some amazing stories of heroic people and shows us places that make it all so moving and clear. Jiri also combines some friendly conversation along with his tour so we felt both welcome and engaged. He also offered some very good tips for the rest of our day for activities, sights and food, which proved to be good recommendations. This would be the best historical tour I’ve been on in Europe.

A once-in-a-lifetime tour exploring the amazing city of Prague. Jiri is an elite-tier guide and WWII history expert, both very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, who made everyone in our group immediately comfortable and excited about our adventure together. He is passionate about Prague’s history (especially as a PhD-level expert in World War II history) and able to share his passion with others through this tour. His custom-designed itinerary, with thoughtful stops to tell key stories and share little-known details, provides a level of understanding about Prague and WWII that is truly enlightening. If I could give Jiří more than five stars, I would. As a PhD candidate studying military history, Jiří is intimately acquainted with Prague’s past and he came straight from the military history archives when he met us for the tour. His English is impeccable and his teaching skills are second to none. He is able to answer any question you might have not only about WWII, but also about Prague’s existence during the Soviet occupation. He even gave great bar and restaurant recommendations when I asked, and he followed up the tour with a private message with links to topics covered in the tour. In summary, the experience was worth every cent!

One of the best tours I’ve ever been on. Jiri is so knowledgeable about this time in history and the tour felt almost personalized to our interests as he would tell random stories throughout the tour. He also gave us many recommendations for not only Prague but all of Europe. We will definitely look for his tours again if we ever visit Prague

This was a great tour, Jiri is very knowledgeable about WW2 and Prague history, I learned so much today on his tour and now want to learn even more about Czech history. Jiri took the time to answer my many questions and made sure I had time to take photos, also he provided water and a snack which was very appreciated because today was super hot! This tour is perfect if you want local knowledge of the region and the occupation during WW2. Some of the memorials and buildings are very moving to see in person, they are truly memorable. Jiri is a fantastic tour guide, I highly recommend this tour if you want something unique and special when you’re in Prague.

A tour guide is such an important piece when traveling. That person can make or break the trip. Jiri made our trip and exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment he picked us up ( in his very clean car with water and snacks) we felt at ease and excited to start our day. He was well organized knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with. We hired him for Terezin and again the next day for a tour through the Jewish quarter. He took us to some special sights often away from the crowds. What a memorable experience. Jiri’s extensive knowledge made this tour something you could never do on your own. Fantastic insight and stories about WWII era Prague and unique but incredibly memorable stops made this tour a highlight of our trip.

I absolutely loved this tour. Jiri is truly a remarkable story teller who brought history to life in the most fascinating way. There was never a dull moment. His passion and enthusiasm for WW 2 shines through as he delivers his stories. Because his delivery is so interesting and well thought through, each and every one of his stories is still vividly in my mind after 2 weeks. Do not hesitate on this tour!

Our WWII tour with Jiri was excellent! We are a family of 5 with 3 kids ages 14-20. Jiri had us all completely engaged in all of the stories he had to offer. Best part of our Prague experience as we learned and saw so much that we otherwise would have missed including the landmarks at the train station and the area in Praha 8 where the 3rd-in-charge Nazi soldier was killed. Jiri is clearly passionate about his country and is extremely knowledgeable. Would HIGHLY recommend this tour!!!

Jiri certainly exceeded my expectation. As an unbelievably young historian he managed to be both sophisticated and funny at the same time (not to mention that he even brought some snacks and water for me!!). Walking with Jiri following the footprints of WWII historical events happened in Prague really brought my previous superficial understanding of Czech Republic to a much higher level. Now I love Czech even more! Highly recommend anyone, especially those who like culture and history, to join Jiri’s tour. Prague is much more than the beauty of its view!!!

I can’t say enough about how good this experience was. Myself and my step dad are fellow history buffs/historians ourselves and this tour was the best tour I’ve taken with a local guide for a historical time period in my travels. Jiri really makes the stories he’s telling come alive. I would recommend this to anyone and hope to return to do more of his experiences in the future.
